The Manitoba Camera Club (Winnipeg Photographers)

A new year for The Manitoba Camera Club is starting on Tuesday, Sept. 3rd. I’ve been a member of the club for about 8 years now. It’s been a great experience for me. I’ve learned so much from other members of the club and from the speakers that have come to visit and I’ve had a lot of fun.

I had taken a lot of photography classes at Prairie View School of Photography before joining the club and I learned a lot from the teachers that I had there, but nothing compares to the amount that I’ve learned at the club. And most of that learning has been from other members; people who are always willing to share in their expertise and their vision.

There are experts in many fields at the club;  experts in framing, printing, 3D photography, night photography, portrait photography  and many other areas. It’s a wonderful thing to be  part of a group like this.

Besides learning a lot, I’ve also made some wonderful friends and had a lot of fun, both at meetings and on our field trips.

There are many reasons for joining the club.

I guarantee that it would be a decision that you wouldn’t regret. Email me or call me if you have any questions.

Don’t be shy. We would love to see you there.

It’s almost time for the start of a new year at The Manitoba Camera Club. As programming chair, I have tried to think outside the box; to make the program as varied as possible; to keep it  interesting and thought-provoking, and to meet the needs of photographers at different levels of expertise.

The club is the best deal in town and we all know that Winnipegers love a deal! For only $40 you will be entertained and educated in photography for the months from Sept. to April. You will meet a lot of people with similar interests and I can absolutely guarantee that you will learn and grow in your photography.

This coming year we are hosting some of Winnipeg’s top photographers: Rodney Braun, Manual Sousa, Joe Kerr, Tara Miller and myself; to name just a few.

Have a look at the program. Mark any dates on your calendar that you are interested in. You can come once as  guest at no charge, just to try it out.
