Finally; a session!

Finally, after 3 months of no photography sessions; I was able to do one yesterday!

It was great to see 10 month old L and his 4 year old brother for L’s 3rd photography session. One more session and this family will receive their photo book containing images from all 4 sessions.

We had to work hard to coax smiles out of this little guy but we got a few. Lucky mom and dad with their 2 beautiful boys!

Our Two Sons! (Winnipeg Children’s Photographers)

Family photo sessions are the usually difficult when one of the children is two and a half. Children that are  known for being contrary and obstinate and getting them to cooperate is difficult.

The trick with a 2.5 year old is to get them to forget that you want them to cooperate. Once they are engaged in an activity, they might forget to be contrary and might just smile.

The older brother from this session is 2.5 and is as cute as a button, with his curly dark hair and big brown eyes. The trick was to get him involved in an activity and since there were leaves on the ground, it was easy to get him to throw some at his mom and dad and little brother. His adorable, little brother, at 7 months, was only interested in eating the leaves! I am very pleased with the family pictures that we did get!

This is 4-year-old L and his baby sister, who is 3 months old. These 2 were so easy to manage that our 2 hour shoot was over before I knew it and I got a ton of great images. It was hard to choose a few for the blog.  These two were not only cute but great models!

Four Great Kids (Winnipeg Children’s Photographers)

I met four great kids that are off for Spring Break and came to get their pictures taken. Sometimes, 4 kids are hard to manage. Sometimes they whine and cry and complain. Not today. It was so much fun to take photos of these 4. I was glad that their mom wanted a white backdrop and had them wear white shirts and jeans. I had trouble picking a few favorites for the blog today. There are so many great pictures. Here’s a preview:

Things are looking kind of green (Winnipeg Child Photographer)

No it isn’t green out yet, but it was pretty green in my studio today with these 2 sweethearts. I had a ton of  fun playing with the 2 of them. I think their favorite thing were my 2 teacher bells.  I was noisy but good fun. I loved watching them dance around and ring them fast and then ring slowly. That was their teacher mom’s idea. Thank you for bringing these two great kids today!

I’ve been experimenting with adding some texture and colour in the backgrounds of pictures. I am curious as to what you think of it. Let me know.
