I am very upset by the atrocities in the war in Ukraine and I want to do what I can to help, so I decided to do a fundraiser with money going to the Canadian Red Cross for Ukraine. Here is the website I will be donating to.
PLEASE NOTE THAT I AM EXTENDING THIS SPECIAL TO APRIL 24th.
https://www.redcross.ca/donate/appeal/donate-to-the-ukraine-humanitarian-crisis-appeal#9cfdcd2b-85a7-4899-ada2-f8bdae8d0939
This special means that you will pay only $50 for a full hour photography session, plus get an 8×10 print of your choosing from the session. That’s a value of $150 for only $50 and I will donate that $50 to the Canadian Red Cross.
This is in effect from April 3rd to the 24th (including Easter weekend) and includes up to 4 people. I welcome dogs so please bring your furry family friends. This special is just in time for Mother’s Day and I know mothers love to get pictures of their families, so why not take advantage of this special and use the print(s) as a gift for your mom?
This special does not include newborn sessions as they take much longer than an hour.
Other prints and digital images are available. Ask me for prices if you are interested but please note that I do not sell digital images separately from prints.
I did a session with these 2 beautiful boys yesterday. Baby J was just 2.5 weeks old and his big brother is almost 3. The last time I saw this big brother was when he was just a tiny baby himself.
I had a great time photographing them. Here’s a sneak peek!
I had the pleasure of meeting and photographing Marlene and Barry’s lovely family last Saturday on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary. Marlene and Barry celebrated with their 2 sons and their wives and their 5 grandchildren.
I really enjoyed working with the kids, who were real cuties, but were also completely cooperative when posing for pictures!
The best part of this day was when Marlene wore her original wedding dress and Barry dressed up in a very dapper looking suit. How many of us would fit into our wedding dresses from 50 years ago? I know I wouldn’t be able to.
What a lovely couple Marlene and Barry made then and still make now!
And here Marlene and Barry are now. Barry bought the red and white roses for his bride. Notice the lovely smiles on both of them.
2020 50th Anniversary
Here are Barry and Marlene with their 5 grandchildren! Don’t they look like great kids!

I met this adorable little girl today just after her first birthday. P has been walking for 4 months and is a real sweetie. She didn’t want to sit too much for me but I love some of the images that we got of her walking around. This is one of them.
I love her big blue eyes and her wisps of curly blonde hair.

I love these beads!
Beautiful Little One!
At ChrisMcWilliamsPhotography your safety is our first priority. We are pleased to be able to open after being closed for 3 months and we are taking steps to ensure that everyone stays safe and healthy.
With that in mind, these are the precautions that we have put in place:
If at any time prior to your appointment you develop any of the following symptoms: Fever >38 °C (or subjective fever), cough, sore throat, shortness of breath/breathing difficulties…
Or any two or more of the following: runny nose, muscle aches, fatigue, loss of smell or taste, headache, hoarse voice, nausea, vomiting or diarrhea…that you cancel your session and reschedule for when you are feeling better.
Let’s keep everyone save and continue to flatten the curve in Manitoba!
I hope that everyone has stayed healthy in this unprecedented and scary time. It is unnerving to have an invisible enemy out there that can infect and kill people. It is especially unnerving to not know what the future holds, but things are looking very positive in Manitoba.
My husband and I are healthy and doing well. We have been busy painting inside the house and working on the yard, but I do miss taking pictures of children and families, so I am pleased to announce that I am opening my studio and will start to do sessions again. Safety measures will be in place, including hand sanitizing when clients come in and keeping physical distances as much as possible. More information will be sent to clients before coming for a session.
I prefer outdoor sessions at this time of the year and my yard is an excellent spot for pictures with many large shade trees. I am also open to using parks in the city, especially but not limited to Kilcona Park, Bird’s Hill Park and Kildonan Park.
This special event was cut short when the pandemic hit and I am pleased to announce that I am resuming my “Little Girls Dress Up” sessions. I have even more dresses now and am looking forward to photographing the little girls in your life.
This model call is for girls aged 1 to 4. I will include girls who are older if parents bring an outfit for them. Since this is a dress up event, I can only provide dresses up to a size 4 (for a 4 year old, or a small 5 year old). You are welcome to bring more than 1 girl but I am limiting it to 3 girls per hour session.
I am fine with including other family members (including sons) for this event, but I won’t be supplying outfits for them as the focus is on daughters.
I hope to do some of these sessions outside as well as in the studio. The trees in the yard are looking great right now and there are a lot of locations that we can use
All clients who come for this model call will be entered into a draw for a $600 package. The draw will be done on July 6th. The winner will be announced that day. You are still in the draw if you came for a session before the pandemic started.
A $50 retainer is required to book your session. You can either get a refund on the retainer at your ordering session or you can use the retainer towards the purchase of products such as wall art or prints. The retainer can be sent to chrismcwilliamsphotography@gmail.com.
I love the idea of photographing your daughter in her mom’s wedding dress! Let me know if this appeals to you and if you have the dress.
I hope to hear from you! Let me know if you are interested.
I found this on Facebook a while back and thought it was a great way to look at things.
It’s important that we look at the bright side of things at a time like this and see our glasses as half full. I hope that you are all safe and healthy now that life is returning to some semblance of normal. Nobody knows when or if the world will ever be like it was before the pandemic and we have no control over that, but we can control how we treat others and how we go about our daily lives.
Thank God, at least toilet paper has become available!
It was great to see 10 month old L and his 4 year old brother for L’s 3rd photography session. One more session and this family will receive their photo book containing images from all 4 sessions.
We had to work hard to coax smiles out of this little guy but we got a few. Lucky mom and dad with their 2 beautiful boys!
Here’s a preview:
I know for sure that I get the cutest kids to photograph and if you look at this session and the one before it, you will know that this is true.
This 4 year old beauty is a wonderful model who loves the camera. She follows directions like a pro and is stunningly beautiful. Don’t you agree?
