50 Years Later! (Winnipeg Photographers)

Bob and Ilse, our friends and neighbours at the lake are this lovely couple, who recently celebrated 50 years of marriage. My husband John and Bob are childhood friends who spent every summer at the lake while getting into all kinds of mischief.

You can’t pick your neighbours, but John and I are lucky to have this couple as our neighbours and friends. We wish them good health and a safe journey as they travel back to their home in California.

It was a fantastic weekend at Victoria Beach. There was a slight breeze, the sun was warm and there were hardly any mosquitoes. It was fun to photograph this family with their 2 beautiful little girls on the beach.

The Village Green is the center of activity in Victoria Beach, holding tennis courts, The Moonlight Inn and the renowned Einfeld’s bakery. If you have a cabin in Victoria Beach, you know this area and  probably come down often to visit and get an ice cream cone or a scrumptious cinnamon bun.

The Village Green is where I did this family session with 4 month old N and 3-year-old E. It’s not always easy to get the attention of 2 children that age, (especially at the same time) but by making some strange noises,  jumping around, playing  peek-a-boo and yelling about grandpa’s stinky feet, I got a few.
