Sweetness Times Two! (Winnipeg Family Photographers)

I love photographing little girls. I love photographing cute little girls in white dresses who I’ve watched growing up even more, so yesterday evening’s session was one of my favorites. Both of these little ones were adorable but older sister A, who just turned 4, was a photographer’s dream model, posing for me and enjoying herself.

We were at The Forks, and it was kind of crazy there with all the people doing the Pokemon Go game, but we found some spots for pictures nonetheless. BTW: I have never seen that many people at The Forks and I’m there a lot!

Family of Six! (Winnipeg Family Photography)

It was a great day today to do some family photos with this family of 6!

Success today equalled having 4 children under the age of 7  all look at me with some manner of a smile at the same time. Oh yes, and one of them was 2!

Here is the one that worked! It might be the only one that worked. Did I mention one of the kids was two?  These 2 older boys were totally amazing with how grown up and cooperative they were. I think their younger brother will be just like that too in time.

What beautiful children! Have a look!

This first one is a definite portfolio image.  Look at those beautiful eyes!

This morning I had the pleasure of photographing this beautiful 3-year-old with her gorgeous mom and good-looking dad. This little one, not only has the bluest eyes ever,  but is so good-natured that the session was a breeze. Watch for her picture on my home page slide show.

Here’s a sneak peek!

I had the pleasure of photographing this beautiful family tonight at the Forks. I had last seen the family 7 months ago and what a difference 7 months makes in the appearance  of a newborn! I would have recognized her handsome brothers anywhere but she has changed so much!

It was fun to see these children again.

Here’s a preview of our shoot.

Today was an ideal day for pictures at the Forks. The clouds created a huge soft box in the sky and the crowds stayed away. On top of that, my one year old subject was in a great mood. This is the 5th time I have taken Q’s picture, starting from before he was born. I’m looking forward to creating his Baby’s First Year Book. It’s going to be magical. I find the changes in that first year of life so amazing. Buying the Baby’s First Year Plan, as Q’s parents did,  is a lovely way to capture and document those memories. Ask me about it if you’re interested.

As for my shoot today, I took over 400 pictures. I will shoot as long as a child is happy and Q was great today. I was lucky to get pictures of some of his first steps. He is just starting to walk.

Here’s a preview from today:

The first of 2 shoots at the  Forks today were these cute little 4 and 5-year-old little guys. The light outside was great today but it was a bit chilly, so most of this shoot was inside.  I was able to use window light for quite a few of these pictures with wonderful results. There is no light like it!

Here’s a preview:

Stay tuned for the second shoot from the day tomorrow. Meanwhile, it’s editing time for me! Plus a couple more kids tomorrow!

Love was in the air (Winnipeg Wedding Photographer)

The pretty girl in these pictures just got to Winnipeg a couple of days ago. She had been in Siberia. Yes, Siberia. Aileen is studying Russian history and as part of her doctoral thesis she has to go to Siberia to learn about peasant life there.  So if you want to know if it’s as cold as Siberia in Winnipeg,  Aileen would be the person to ask.  Aileen and her fiance live in Edmonton and were in Winnipeg for a few days to visit with family. I had fun taking their pictures and am looking forward to working with them again on their wedding day.

Here are a few of my favorites:
