I’ve been feeling very blessed these last 2 weeks. I believe that if you are following your bliss in life, that the Universe will support you in amazing ways. It is no coincidence that I have this wonderful 2 week job as teacher librarian at a Winnipeg school where I can teach children about photography. Coincidences like that do not happen. I feel extremely grateful for this opportunity.
Most of the kids at this school are very keen to learn about photography and are like sponges. They soak up what I say and practice what I teach them. The images they are taking with $80 cameras speaks to the fact that the skill of the photographer is much more important that how upscale the camera is. You would be amazed at the pictures these 8 to 10 year old children are taking. Their biggest challenge is holding the camera steady. I wish I could show you some of the images that they have taken of one another. They are very WOW! What I can show you are some of the images of me they have taken and also some of the nonportrait images.
I’m having a blast with them. It’s like being paid to have fun. What could be better?
You may wonder why the expression in this pic. I challenged them to take my picture and that I was looking for someone who was taking it the right way ie vertically. BINGO someone got that.
Those are just a few of the really great pictures that they have taken. It’s hard to pic just a few!
