I met these 2 cute dogs last night and was very impressed with how cute they were and how fast they could move.
I love the shot of the owners with their dogs in this first image. It’s a pose I often use with families and it worked so well with these 2 dogs. Please note their bandannas from Leo and Co Pet Shop!
This fall has been a very busy time for family photo sessions. I love taking all of your family portraits and I like to take advantage of this beautiful weather and the lovely fall colours. What this means though, is that I cannot keep up with editing, so please be patient if you are waiting for your gallery.
Having said that, here are the 5 families that I had the pleasure of photographing this past weekend:
These first two kids are my great-niece and nephew; 2 of my favorite kids, who I have been photographing since birth. I always enjoy photographing these 2 and Saturday was no exception! So cute!!
One of this things that I love about photography are the interesting people who I meet and this family was a perfect example. They had just moved to Winnipeg from the East coast. These 2 kids at 6 and 8 years old were awesome to photograph; cooperative and so cute.
I love seeing families that I have photographed in the past and it was great to see this family again in Kildonan Park. These 2 great kids were not only cooperative but had the biggest smiles!
I did a couple of sessions at Kilcona Park on Sunday, where the trees are in their full fall glory. I enjoyed meeting and photographing this family with their 2 teenage daughters; one of whom who wants to be a photographer! 
This was my second session at Kilcona Park and was challenging but a ton of fun. These 2 kids are 6 and 8 and although the adorable little girl loved posing and listened to all my suggestions, her little brother was a more difficult subject. But I love a challenge and got some great images of him; especially this first one with the almost perfect symmetry and the lovely, natural expressions.
This session is from last Sunday when the wind was howling and it was freezing out but you can’t tell by looking at the photos of this mother/daughter. Not only were they beautiful to photograph; they were a ton of fun. And Kilcona, even with the wind was stunning!

Kilcona Park is one of my favorite places to walk in the winter. I took my dog and my camera along the other day and got the images below.
Do you have a favorite?The last 2 are almost the same but more of the shadow is showing in the second one. The first two are also 2 versions of the same scene. Can the tracks stand on their own as an image. What do you think?
Today was my third time meeting with 14 month old S and his family. The first time S had 6 adults with him; both sets of grandparents and his mom and dad. The first time S was teething and was not a happy guy. The second time S had just his mom and dad with him. S was happy for long enough to get some adorable smiles with his parents but then it all fell apart. It was a different story today. S came with his mom today and was full of smiles!
Sometimes it is just a bad day for a child. What should you do if you know it will be bad? Call me and we can discuss another date. I want to be able to get great photos of your child. I will do what it takes. It has never taken 3 sessions before but that’s what it took and that is okay. I guarantee great photos!
