LOVE these Dogs! (Winnipeg Dog Photographers)

I love dogs so it was a lot of fun to photograph the new puppy in our family, as well as, her sister, 12 year old Annie. These are my son’s family dogs in Calgary. Chili Bean, the puppy is a 6 months old goden doodle and is full of energy. Annie is 12 and although she has slowed down, she still likes walks and is very affectionate.

I love these dogs!

Good Looking Family of Four! (Winnipeg Family Photographers)

It had been six years since I last saw this family of four. We did this session in our yard and also used the railway tracks. The light was harsh on the tracks but we did manage to get some great images. I enjoyed photographing them again.

I love photographing children as they grow up and seeing the same families over the years. I’ve done a few sessions with this lovely family and their 2 sons, who are now 5 and 7 years old. We had a lot of fun doing this session at Kildonan Park.

More Beautiful People! (Winnipeg Family Photographers)

I have the best looking people coming for photography sessions. Just look at this family and you will know that it is true! We did this session in my yard, as well as on the railroad tracks that run right beside my house. I realize that we aren’t supposed to go on railroad tracks but these tracks are not used very often and in fact, when a train goes North earlier in the day, it always comes back South that same day. There was no train going North yesterday, so I knew that no train would be coming. As well, there are only 1 or 2 trains in a week.

I like sessions to be relaxed and fun for people. I think you can tell that we had a blast!

Have a look at these beautiful people!

Beautiful Grad and Family! (Winnipeg Photo Studios)

It was my pleasure to meet and photograph another lovely grad and her family at Kildonan Park. It seems like almost every grad that I’ve met is leaving Winnipeg to go to school and this girl is no exception. She is off to Toronto next week. I wish her the best of luck but I’m sure she’ll be very successful.

Here is a preview of our session yesterday.

I think I get the most beautiful little kids coming to my studio. Look at this little one year old and her big brown eyes! Isn’t she gorgeous!

A couple of evenings ago I had the pleasure of photographing my great niece with her parents. I’ve been photographing this girl for most of her life and it’s hard for me to believe that she is finished grade 12. Sarah is not only beautiful, kind and smart; she is an amazing writer and will go onto university to become a teacher.

Here is Sarah!

Love this picture with the flowers behind her.

Sarah with her family and their dog Roo!

Sometimes the best images are candids. I love this candid image for the story that it tells. It is a slice of life happening and it makes me ask questions like: why does LC , the guy with the shades, has his knee on the dog! Is this his way of keeping Roo (the dog) under control? Does it work? Or is his leg just tired and he’s using Roo as a post to lean on? I also wonder who Sarah was texting? And why she has such a big smile? Did she get a really nice message from someone or is she just happy that our photography session is over.

Life in a photograph! That’s what this is.

I hadn’t done any photography sessions for over a month. That has been my choice. I don’t feel safe having people in my home studio with Covid cases being so high. I have a husband who has lymphoma and I want to be extra vigilant about exposure, especially with the new variants. My husband is fine right now and we want to keep it that way.

Now that we have warm weather and the leaves are out on the trees, I will do sessions outdoors. The session that I am featuring today was done on my property and the family shown lives right around the corner from us!

I love the picture below. Our neighbour’s dog, Gypsy, saw us outside and came over to visit. Gypsy was excited to give me hugs and kisses and didn’t want to leave. Usually, I welcome Gypsy, but in this case, I needed her to move, but the whole interaction gave us this wonderful picture!

Fun Candid!

After Gypsy left, we were able to get a posed image.

Beautiful Family!

I loved photographing these 2 beautiful girls; aged 6 and 8. Aren’t they lovely?

I did 2 more fundraising sessions this week for Spirit of Hope Rescue. I’m really enjoying meeting and photographing these dogs and their owners.

Yesterday, I had the 3 dogs shown below come with their owners. Each dog had a different personality. The black dog would bark and bay in response to my woofs and the big white dog would wander around the studio checking things out and happily accepting treats. The little white girl is blind, quite quiet and very cooperative. She even managed the stairs with no problem. BTW: I had to do one head switch for this picture. Can you tell which dog?

Love this dog family!
Congratulations!

These 2 had just gotten engaged so we did a few pictures without the dogs. Actually, the dogs were under foot but it didn’t matter!

Today I met this lovely girl named Lady and she really was a lady! Lady didn’t want to be still for pictures and found the smells in the studio very interesting. The only way to get her to stay still was to give her treats or get her to shake a paw.

This is the beautiful Lady:
