I love photographing children as they grow up and seeing the same families over the years. I’ve done a few sessions with this lovely family and their 2 sons, who are now 5 and 7 years old. We had a lot of fun doing this session at Kildonan Park.
I have the best looking people coming for photography sessions. Just look at this family and you will know that it is true! We did this session in my yard, as well as on the railroad tracks that run right beside my house. I realize that we aren’t supposed to go on railroad tracks but these tracks are not used very often and in fact, when a train goes North earlier in the day, it always comes back South that same day. There was no train going North yesterday, so I knew that no train would be coming. As well, there are only 1 or 2 trains in a week.
I like sessions to be relaxed and fun for people. I think you can tell that we had a blast!
Have a look at these beautiful people!
Beautiful People!Love the posing which was this young man’s idea!Lucky Mom with these 2 sons!
It was my pleasure to meet and photograph another lovely grad and her family at Kildonan Park. It seems like almost every grad that I’ve met is leaving Winnipeg to go to school and this girl is no exception. She is off to Toronto next week. I wish her the best of luck but I’m sure she’ll be very successful.
Here is a preview of our session yesterday.

These beautiful young ladies posed for me in the Exchange District in Wpg on Sunday evening. It was hot; very, very hot but the good thing was that there were hardly any people around, the girls were absolutely gorgeous and the architecture was exactly what we wanted for this session.
I love meeting new people and talking to them about their lives and what is important to them. Doing headshots (what a strange name for a portrait) is a perfect time to do that and it was my pleasure to meet Dr. Sara a couple of days ago. We had a great time taking some pictures and chatting. Dr. Sara Korsunsky is a naturopathic doctor who works out of the Centre for Natural Medicine. She is easy to talk to and very down to earth.
A couple of evenings ago I had the pleasure of photographing my great niece with her parents. I’ve been photographing this girl for most of her life and it’s hard for me to believe that she is finished grade 12. Sarah is not only beautiful, kind and smart; she is an amazing writer and will go onto university to become a teacher.
Here is Sarah!
Love this picture with the flowers behind her.
Sarah with her family and their dog Roo!
Sometimes the best images are candids. I love this candid image for the story that it tells. It is a slice of life happening and it makes me ask questions like: why does LC , the guy with the shades, has his knee on the dog! Is this his way of keeping Roo (the dog) under control? Does it work? Or is his leg just tired and he’s using Roo as a post to lean on? I also wonder who Sarah was texting? And why she has such a big smile? Did she get a really nice message from someone or is she just happy that our photography session is over.
Graduating from grade 12 is a special time for students and not being able to have a regular convocation or party is really tough, so a lot of parents are doing what they can to make this event special for their children. Yesterday, I met a few of the grads of 2021 in a special photography session.
We started at Kildonan Park. It was a lovely evening. The temperature was perfect but the wind was kind of brutal at times.
Love the smiles on these 2 girls!
The biggest smiles on these 2 best friends!
The girls pictured below are part of the provincial basketball team that won at Nationals; so we headed over to St. John’s Park to use the basketball courts. Note the medals they are both wearing! The wind was fierce here!
Basketball Stars!
Another friend arrived and was happy to pose for some pictures. We had a great time. Watch for more pictures here as I get these images edited.
