Cutie Patooties! (Winnipeg Family Photographers)

I love photographing children as they grow up and seeing the same families over the years. I’ve done a few sessions with this lovely family and their 2 sons, who are now 5 and 7 years old. We had a lot of fun doing this session at Kildonan Park.

More Beautiful People! (Winnipeg Family Photographers)

I have the best looking people coming for photography sessions. Just look at this family and you will know that it is true! We did this session in my yard, as well as on the railroad tracks that run right beside my house. I realize that we aren’t supposed to go on railroad tracks but these tracks are not used very often and in fact, when a train goes North earlier in the day, it always comes back South that same day. There was no train going North yesterday, so I knew that no train would be coming. As well, there are only 1 or 2 trains in a week.

I like sessions to be relaxed and fun for people. I think you can tell that we had a blast!

Have a look at these beautiful people!

Beautiful Grad and Family! (Winnipeg Photo Studios)

It was my pleasure to meet and photograph another lovely grad and her family at Kildonan Park. It seems like almost every grad that I’ve met is leaving Winnipeg to go to school and this girl is no exception. She is off to Toronto next week. I wish her the best of luck but I’m sure she’ll be very successful.

Here is a preview of our session yesterday.

Meet Dr. Sara! (Winnipeg Head Shot Photographers)

I love meeting new people and talking to them about their lives and what is important to them. Doing headshots (what a strange name for a portrait) is a perfect time to do that and it was my pleasure to meet Dr. Sara a couple of days ago. We had a great time taking some pictures and chatting. Dr. Sara Korsunsky is a naturopathic doctor who works out of the Centre for Natural Medicine. She is easy to talk to and very down to earth.

You can read more about Dr. Sara and the centre at http://www.naturalmedicine.mb.ca/the-centre/our-team-naturopathic-doctors.cfm.

Here are a couple of sneak peeks at the portraits we captured:

More of SOHR dogs! (Winnipeg Dog Photographers)

I did 2 more fundraising sessions this week for Spirit of Hope Rescue. I’m really enjoying meeting and photographing these dogs and their owners.

Yesterday, I had the 3 dogs shown below come with their owners. Each dog had a different personality. The black dog would bark and bay in response to my woofs and the big white dog would wander around the studio checking things out and happily accepting treats. The little white girl is blind, quite quiet and very cooperative. She even managed the stairs with no problem. BTW: I had to do one head switch for this picture. Can you tell which dog?

Love this dog family!
Congratulations!

These 2 had just gotten engaged so we did a few pictures without the dogs. Actually, the dogs were under foot but it didn’t matter!

Today I met this lovely girl named Lady and she really was a lady! Lady didn’t want to be still for pictures and found the smells in the studio very interesting. The only way to get her to stay still was to give her treats or get her to shake a paw.

This is the beautiful Lady:

I love meeting families and photographing their children while they grow up. It has been very rewarding to have done 8 sessions with this beautiful family over the last 5 years. I was currently working on a First Year Plan for their youngest son, but because of Covid we didn’t get the 4 sessions done in a year. L is 19 months old now and his big brother is 5. Aren’t they adorable?

We had to work for smiles with this guy! What a cutie!

Fabulous Dog Days! (Winnipeg Dog Photographers)

Yesterday was the first of my dog days. I had 6 amazing dogs come for pictures and I loved them all. It was challenging to get the dogs to pose but with my fantastic assistant Sarah, and the help of the dog owners, we got some stunning pictures. Thank you to all the dog people who brought their special beasts.

Here are the first 3 dogs:

Eli is a golden doodle and possibly the best ball catcher that I’ve ever seen. He loves his frisbee and his ball and will play endlessly. Eli is 8 years old but he isn’t slowing down at all.

This is Eli. Notice that he is actually airborne!

Next up we have Hans, a 15 week old German Shepherd. Hans was full of beans and loved the treats that we had for him. We had some sweet moments with Hans and his 8 month human brother. I loved Hans’s big pointy ears and his large eyes.

This is Dominick, a Pembroke Welsh Corgi. Dominick is 2.5 years old and had the biggest dog smile of the day. He loved chewing my dog’s bone. In fact, he would have stayed longer just to keep chewing the bone. I could have photographed this guy for hours. He was that calm!

Isn’t he beautiful!

I did bring my dog, Zara down to the studio for some pictures, but she was terrified. She was so afraid that she was shaking. I had one vet tell me she was the most nervous dog she had ever seen. Zara had never come into the studio and it terrified her to be there.

You can see by her expression that she thought her life was over. Poor girl!!

I will do another dog model call if there is interest. I had a great time and loved meeting all the day, so let me know if you have a dog you would like photographed.

I had a great time with the second family that I saw this weekend. This was session number 3 for 8 month old Luke and he has grown into an adorable little guy! And his sister rocked her session as well. Here are these cute kids!
