Every week, the Winnipeg Free Press has a photo challenge on Instagram. Contestants take photos, post them on Instagram with the hashtag #WfpChallenge and the Free Press picks one winner to print in Saturday’s paper.
I’m kind of new to Instagram and have only recently added Instagram pictures to my blog. When I saw that the challenge was trees, I thought I would go for it and enter a couple of images. And I won the challenge this week.
My photo of a tree was taken at Kilcona Park with my iPhone using AvgCameraPro and then edited with PhotoForge2 and Snapseed.
Here’s what the Free Press said about it:
winnipegfreepress Love this photo submitted by @winnipeg_photog for our Trees theme! The autumn colours and motion blur really give the photo a painterly feel. Very creative. Very well done. It’s our pick of the week.
I think I’ll stick with using Instagram!
