A new year for The Manitoba Camera Club is starting on Tuesday, Sept. 3rd. I’ve been a member of the club for about 8 years now. It’s been a great experience for me. I’ve learned so much from other members of the club and from the speakers that have come to visit and I’ve had a lot of fun.

I had taken a lot of photography classes at Prairie View School of Photography before joining the club and I learned a lot from the teachers that I had there, but nothing compares to the amount that I’ve learned at the club. And most of that learning has been from other members; people who are always willing to share in their expertise and their vision.

There are experts in many fields at the club;  experts in framing, printing, 3D photography, night photography, portrait photography  and many other areas. It’s a wonderful thing to be  part of a group like this.

Besides learning a lot, I’ve also made some wonderful friends and had a lot of fun, both at meetings and on our field trips.

There are many reasons for joining the club.
