I love my iPhone. In fact, it would probably be fair to say that I am totally addicted to my iPhone. It’s just the most amazing tool that you could ever imagine. I can do just about anything with it. If I’m lost, I can get directions; if I need a mirror, there it is. It’s a flashlight, a phone, a calendar, a watch, a notebook, a compass, and an exercise and diet tracker. It keeps you connected to your email and allows you to access any information that is on the web (which is pretty much everything and anything). It let’s you check the weather anywhere in the world. It allows you to play Scrabble for hours on end with any number of people.
And for those of us who are addicted to photography, it has amazing apps for that too. I’ve been trying some of them out with fantastic results. In fact, the winner of Photographer of the Year for 2012 , Alexandra Morrison http://www.facebook.com/alexmorrisonphotography, used an iPhone and iPhone apps for 3 of her 4 winning images.
These are the cameras that I have on my phone. My current favorite is the SmugMug one which is the one on the top row on the right. I like it because of the different types of lighting that it comes with. Rather than just using the flash, it gives you the option of leaving the phone light on while taking the picture.
These are the apps I have on my phone:
I discovered PS (Photoshop) Express about a week ago and love it. It has a ton of functions in it and works very well. I don’t like Mosaica as well and haven’t used it a lot. I found the other apps on Alex Morrison’s page and love them. I was up until 2:00 am playing with them last night. Here are some of the images that I created with my iPhone pictures.
Pretty amazing that a phone can do all of that. Do you have some favorite apps? I would love to know what they are. You can take a picture of them by clicking on the on/off button and the home button at the same time. Show me what’s on your iPhone.
